什么是焦距

What is focal length

焦距：指平行光入射时从透镜光心到光聚集之焦点的距离。镜头焦距的长短决定着拍摄的成像大小、视场角大小、景深大小和画面的透视强弱。

Focal length: refers to the distance from the optical center of the lens to the focal point of light gathering when parallel light is incident. The length of lens focal length determines the image size, field angle, depth of field and perspective of the picture.

监控摄像机镜头的类型：

Type of camera lens:

监控摄像机的镜头焦距正常用到的有2.8毫米，4毫米，6毫米，8毫米，12毫米。可以根据被监控对象来选择监控摄像机的镜头，一般镜头焦距越小，看到的角度范围越大，但监控到的距离也越短。

The normal focal length of the camera is 2.8mm, 4mm, 6mm, 8mm and 12mm. The camera lens can be selected according to the monitored object. Generally, the smaller the lens focal length is, the larger the viewing angle range is, but the shorter the monitoring distance is.

所以2.8毫米镜头适合照楼道和电梯这些狭小环境的点位，4毫米照房间，6毫米适合照走廊或单元门，8毫米适合车间或走廊，12毫米适合照狭长道路。
